Program Overview

Alma Institute’s Psychedelic Facilitator training program is organized around the life cycle of the mushroom - the sacred being at the center of our work - exemplifying our core principles of interdependence and cooperation. This program is open to participants preparing for licensure under Measure 109, as well as individuals seeking training for their own exploration and personal practice. Following Alma’s mission and vision, this program explicitly aims to prepare students to participate in the psychedelic movement from a firm planting in social justice and collective healing.

Students will emerge with a strong foundation in the safety, ethics, and core skills applicable to psychedelic facilitation at large: holding space, presence, resourcing, cultural humility, and responsiveness.

  • A limited number of scholarships will be available for Alma’s Winter 2024 cohort. As a small nonprofit, we continue to work hard to raise funds for scholarships for our students. Once accepted into the program, applicants will have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. If you are interested in a scholarship, please submit your application for admission as soon as possible. Scholarship funds will be reviewed and disbursed until all scholarship funds have been allocated.

For outside scholarship opportunities, we recommend individuals based in Oregon apply for support directly through the Sheri Eckert Foundation.
